About Us
Leap’s mission is to combat climate change by enabling a reliable electric grid that runs on clean energy. We play a crucial role in opening up wholesale energy markets to all distributed energy resources, enabling our partners to get paid for providing flexibility to the grid.
At Leap, we believe in cross-functional collaboration, creative thinking to solve complex problems, and job enrichment. We are a mission-driven organization. Not only will your impact be felt within the day-to-day operations; together, we have the ability to make the world more sustainable and greener.
If you have more experience than is reflected here, that’s great! We’ll be pleased to exercise your broader/deeper skill set. We value inclusion and welcome diverse viewpoints.

- Have an interest in growing your technical skills in Python. Strong familiarity with spreadsheets (e.g. Gsheets, Excel).
- Are willing to take ownership of regular reporting processes
- Are excited to work collaboratively in a team alongside a diverse group of amazingly talented and fun people, and at the same time are capable of driving work forward independently
- Can prioritize, juggle and execute tasks to work in a fast-paced startup environment
- Are comfortable working in a remote environment
Plus:
- Have relevant coursework and/or professional experience in data management, analysis, scripting, and visualizations
- 0.5 - 2 years exposure to SQL, and an interest in growing your technical skills in SQL
- Have experience working with Snowflake
- Have experience in renewable energy, energy efficiency or energy trading
- Have experience in object-oriented programming
In this role you will:

- Manage day-to-day enrollment operations & processes (e.g. oversee meter authorization so they can participate in the electricity markets, registering meters in grid operator platforms, coordinating with utilities about enrollment data)
- Analyze energy market data in order to help evolve Leap’s market participation strategies.
- Develop scalable and automated enrollment processes using Python, SQL, and internal tools to support portfolio growth to 100,000+ devices.
- Collaborate with Leap’s Product and Engineering teams to give feedback on new enrollment features for our partners
- Drive documentation efforts across the team for key processes and ongoing improvements
